One of the few onerous tasks that will be left for you to perform if you replace your natural grass lawn with synthetic grass is to clean the grass every so often. Although there are a lot of savings with synthetic grass, it will be necessary to wash the grass off every few weeks to avoid a build up of organic matter.
What you might find happens is that as leaves, dirt and other debris collects on the surface of your synthetic grass it may get trodden on and ground into the weave of the grass. Some of it will be naturally removed by the wind or washed away by heavy rain. But not all of it and the resultant build up can become a problem if it is left.
It’s not completely uncommon to get a mossy growth within the blades of the synthetic grass and without a clean and a scrub the grass can become matted and flattened. A brisk scrub and a wash down will quickly have your lawn looking as good as new again, the grass will be standing tall and any odors will have been removed.
