I like creating invitations and a big part of the invitations are the envelopes. The reason why they are important is they are the first impression that the receiver gets whenever they open their mail. I think it’s important that the envelope is different from what you would normally get in the mail because I think it needs to stand out from all the other junk mail that people don’t really want to go through and because of that they might miss your invitation. You don’t want people not to show up because they didn’t even realize they’ve been invited. The envelope should stand out, and should lend itself to communicating the style of the party. If it is a fun and casual party it they should be bright colored envelopes. If it’s a formal parity it should be bold. Envelopes are beautiful things and they should be thought of when an invitation is being created.
