Grooming your Dog

There is almost nothing that pet owners won’t do for their beloved little ones.  We treat our dogs like they are part of the family.  That’s why it is so important to remember to get your dog to a groomer, or at least do some of the basic care yourself.  There are a few grooming tasks that dogs need on a regular basis to stay at their best.  The first is teeth brushing.  This is something you can do without taking your dog to the groomer, but you should get someone to show you how to do it properly (it’s not like brushing people teeth).  The next important grooming care task is to clip/file your dog’s nails.  This isn’t always as easy as it sounds… especially for dogs with black toenails.  You can pick up a pair of nail clippers at any pet store.  One more thing that some pet owners forget about is bathing and trimming their dog.  You can probably get the bathing part done by yourself, but you’ll probably need to get the haircut/trim done by a professional.  Hopefully this reminds a few people about a couple things your dog needs to remain at his best.
