How to Make the Most of a Trade Show Exhibit

Trade show exhibits can be cumbersome and ineffective if not given the appropriate consideration and management.  First, a trade show exhibit must be meaningful and engaging to the audience; knowing your audience, then, is a key component to the content of your exhibit.  It might change from show to show.  Second, the messaging must be clear, concise, and focus on one central theme or point.  A great way to identify this theme or point is to return to your original business plan and look at the core value and essence of your business.  You should be able to narrow down your message to a simple, yet strong statement.  Make sure this messaging is visible and contains your company name and logo.  You may even add your contact information, anything to make it easy for visitors to remember you and your business.  Be sure to plan a budget and stick to it.  And take note of what works at one show, even though you might need to change it up for the new one depending upon your audience.
