A game of poker with a few good friends is one of the best ways to unwind after a hard weeks work at the office, but if you are playing with friends and value your friendship, you need to make sure some ground rules are laid down before playing. For starters, if you are meeting on a regular basis, say weekly, then you should take turns going to each others houses. This way, it’s evenly spread, and there is less chance of wives and girlfriends getting narky about having all these guys over every week.
There also needs to be a very clear understanding of the rules of the game. There are many variations of poker, and each poker card game has different rules that must be adhered to. The last thing you want is to be in the middle of a big game, with money on the table, and a disagreement arising about exactly which rules you are playing by.
