My Neighbor’s Outdoor Lights Display

I spend a lot of time working on my yard.  As such, I like to think it is worth showing off a bit.  There is nothing too fancy, just a relatively well kept lawn, some flower beds and some ornamental trees.  I’ve been thinking of upgrading a bit though because my neighbor raised the bar.  He already had a small pond and fountain combination that I really like, and a couple of weeks ago he put in some old stuff he picked up at an estate sale.  I’m not sure what all of the stuff is, but I know that one piece is a really old sun dial.

Last week he put in outdoor lights.  Not just outdoor flood lights, but a bunch of different kinds of outdoor lighting.  I’ve got to say that I’m impressed.  No one else around us has much more than those little lights that go along the sidewalk and a basic porch light.  His yard now has decorative string lights, “accent” flood lights showing off trees and some very cool colored solar lights around the pond.  I was talking to him about it and he said it only cost him a couple of hundred dollars for the whole thing.  I think I will definitely look into this as a way to upgrade the look of my home during the evening hours.
