Since I had the day off I decided to take a ride out of Massachusetts. It was in the eighties today in Hampton Beach, New Hampshire. Sunny too, and I even got a bit of a sunburn. Surprisingly the placed was packed. Tomorrow I would have expected crowds but not today. It was like the fourth of July. Wall to wall traffic on Ocean Boulevard. No open parking spaces. It was hot, hot, hot. Kids were playing volleyball on the beach. People were swimming in the (freezing cold!) Atlantic.
It was exciting in a nice way to have it feel like it was summer. I played a bit of pinball at a few different arcades, ate some pizza and had some fried clams. I did skip taking a dip in the ocean. It was way to cold. A shame I did not get a swim in because that may be my only trip to Hampton Beach all year.
