Security lighting can be a great way of deterring intruders and thieves from entering your garden or home, and as a minimum, it will demonstrate to any unwelcome guests that you are taking active steps to protect your property. As we are being constantly urged to reduce our carbon emissions and look after out environment, you might want to consider solar powered security light as an alternative to standard security light fittings. If you connect your solar security lights up to individual passive infra-red detectors (PIR’s) , you will reduce the amount of time your lights remain in the on position, and thus extend the usability of the battery power the lights have built up during the day. Typically a PIR will switch your lights on for between 10 and 30 seconds at a time.
