One of the areas which is showing most growth in the demand for LPN jobs is that of elderly care homes and nursing homes.  The growth in demand for the services of the LPN in this sector is largely down to the increasing age of the population, driven by improvements in medical techniques and technologies.

The roles include a large element of personal care for sick or elderly patients.  There also tends to be quite an administrative element to these roles.  This would include preparation of care plans, risk assessments and supervisory work.  The healthcare teams in these facilities are well structured and usually work on a shift basis.

Demand over the coming years is unlikely to diminish due to the reasons already mentioned so if you are looking to develop your career then there will likely be plenty of opportunity for you as an LPN in this sector.
